Sascha Wulf
Sascha Wulf has been with T&B since 2010 and is now Head of Research & Development and an authorized signatory. His tasks range from product certification to responsibility for explosion protection and fire alarm systems – with new challenges every day due to the wide range of customers. He is particularly proud of the development of the FSM spark detector and appreciates the strong team culture and the continuous opportunities for personal development at T&B.
I’m Sascha Wulf, I was born in 1988 and have been working at T&B for 14 years now. In my spare time, I spend most of my time renovating my house and struggling with my garden. The rest of the time I regularly attend music festivals and try to get back into sport from time to time.
I came to T&B through an unsolicited application on recommendation, although there was no vacancy for a service technician at the time. I am now Head of Research & Development and hold the position of authorized signatory.
In my opinion, there is no such thing as a typical working day in Development, as the diverse range of customers and our innovative products mean that we face new and exciting challenges every day.
My main tasks include the certification of products and systems in cooperation with certification bodies such as VdS and TÜV. I am also the main specialist responsible for explosion protection and fire alarm systems.
What inspires me anew every day is the diverse field of activity that arises from our customers from a wide range of industries. This constantly creates new challenges in fire protection, especially in complex processes and production steps.
What I particularly appreciate about T&B is the opportunity to continuously develop and train myself through the company’s support. These career opportunities make T&B a special employer for me.
One project I am particularly proud of is the FSM spark detector. It was the first product that I supervised from the planning stage through to full certification. It’s a great feeling to finally hold your own product in your hands and know that you’ve been involved from the very beginning.
I would definitely recommend T&B, as the interaction between colleagues in the team is very good. There is a strong willingness to help and people support each other. T&B also offers great opportunities for personal development and further training, which is a big plus for me personally.

Timothy Berlitz
Timothy Berlitz joined T&B as an apprentice in 2015 and has since developed into Production Manager, Training Manager and IT Manager. In his multifaceted role, he coordinates production processes, provides intensive support for trainees and drives internal IT projects forward – most recently the successful conversion of the telephone system. He particularly appreciates the interdepartmental cohesion, the open cooperation and the opportunity to promote and support young talents in a practical way.
My name is Timothy Berlitz, I was born in 1993. I spend most of my free time with my dog and my family, but if I feel like doing something else you can find me riding my motorcycle or chopping firewood.
I joined T&B electronic in 2015 as an apprentice. T&B continued my training after my previous company gave me notice after 4 months and gave me a safe haven. After my apprenticeship, which I completed as the best in my year, I worked for two years in the field as a site service technician and then completed further training to become a state-certified technician. After this, I have been employed as a production manager, training manager, IT manager and customer training officer since 2022.
On a typical day, I first check all orders currently in production and check whether there are any new orders; if so, I check whether the necessary material is already in stock and reorder if necessary. Then I go through the tasks to be completed for the day and the week with my employees.
Thanks to my knowledge of our systems, I am also one of the contacts for our colleagues in the field if they need help with complex problems.
After that, I usually move on to the next department and check that our IT systems are operational and whether there are any queries from colleagues who are having problems with their computers.
I then move on to training, check my trainees’ training reports, look at the current work schedule, send it to the trainees and clarify any questions.
If a trainee is to manufacture a new product, I give them a picking list with the materials required for the product and let them find everything they need in the warehouse independently so that they get to know the storage locations. I then go through the necessary production steps with him by way of example, show him the necessary steps and explain what the product is important for in its finished state and what functions it should fulfill. The trainee then has to manufacture the product independently under supervision, and at the end we check the product together so that they can see any errors for themselves and avoid them in the future.
If the apprentice is to work in the field, I go through all the necessary work steps that they will need in the field in advance and point out any special features that they may encounter
The very good, cross-departmental cohesion among all employees. Everyone strives to solve the problems of the entire company and always tries to find solutions together instead of looking for problems. Furthermore, the relaxed atmosphere with a really flat hierarchy is always very conducive to motivation and day-to-day work.
I particularly enjoy working with the trainees, as I always learn something new from them, whether culturally or socially. You learn how much young people have changed compared to 15 years ago. And the trainees are usually very grateful to learn something new from me and to benefit from my professional experience. The atmosphere is always very relaxed, which is not only due to the “first name basis”, but also to the relaxed exchange that you always have and the encounters on the same level.
I am proud of all of our team’s achievements, especially the short and flexible delivery times that we can offer our customers, which usually undercut the competition and enable customers to complete their projects efficiently and quickly.
However, I would like to highlight the latest IT project that my colleague and I have implemented. We have completely converted our telephone system in order to be equipped for the future. Employees can now be reached on their landline number via their smartphone, whether they are working from home or on the move. They can also make calls from this number and listen to their voicemail. They can now also be reached via chat on our website.
I would definitely recommend T&B to potential trainees, as the quality of the training here is high and the working atmosphere is simply very good and relaxed, plus there is the chance to prove yourself after the training in a permanent employment contract with above-average pay, both nationally and internationally.
During your training, you can prove what you are capable of in the national field service and, if you wish, in other European countries.

Jan-Philipp Wand
Jan-Philipp Wand has been Service Manager at T&B for five years and has also been responsible for project planning for technical orders since the end of 2022. His focus is on process optimization, customer satisfaction and multifaceted collaboration with internal and external partners. He is particularly proud of the successful digitalization of internal processes and complex customer projects that required fast, flexible solutions.
My name is Jan-Philipp Wand and I was born in Alfeld in 1991.
I spend a lot of my free time with my children. We like to spend a lot of time in nature. I have recently discovered mountain biking.
I came to T&B through a call from Faru. We completed our training as industrial mechanics together. Faru moved straight to T&B after his apprenticeship. After my apprenticeship, I spent about 7 years traveling the world as a service technician.
The new position as service manager was a new challenge for me. I have now been in charge of the department for 5 years. At the end of 2022, I also took over project planning.
My job is to manage and control technical order processing. I monitor the processes with the aim of constantly improving them and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Our incentive is to keep customer satisfaction at a high level.
In service and new plant construction, the tasks are very varied, so you have to deal with every department, suppliers, service providers, insurers and, above all, our customers. Customer satisfaction is our top priority. This includes fast, flexible and high-quality support from our constantly trained service technicians.
Especially the team spirit. Everyone helps everyone. Many employees in the office used to be service technicians themselves. So they know how important it is to help their colleagues as quickly as possible.
The versatility is also impressive. Many branches with the latest technologies.
There are some projects, both internal and external, that I am particularly proud of.
Internally, a lot has been implemented in recent years to optimize processes in order processing. Digitization also plays a major role in this. Reports, plant documentation, travel expense reports, etc. can be easily processed using tablets. No more paper – the documents can be viewed and processed immediately.
I can also remember a special project in plant construction. In this project in the Bavarian forest, the spark extinguishing section of a pelletizing plant with 34 lines was not taken into account in the planning. We restructured our planning in such a way that we were able to install a complete system within 5 weeks, including a fault-free VdS approval.
I am also proud of the further development of our employees who, for example, completed their training with us and are now employed as site managers for large construction sites and are doing an excellent job.
Why T&B? Fast and competent service. Short delivery times!
Our service technicians receive regular training. Whether installation, testing, maintenance or repair. Our service technicians are trained and equipped to carry out any task at short notice.
At the same time, it is important to us that they are familiar with the guidelines and can therefore provide advice directly on site.
