Recognize fire risks quickly – extinguish immediately
When storing wood waste, paper or fuels in closed bunkers and in open areas, fires can easily occur: through spontaneous combustion of the stored materials or through the introduction of hot substances from outside.
Our certified solution for early fire detection based on an infrared camera offers greater safety for your machines, systems or storage areas. Especially in combination with our extinguishing system, which is also certified.
The infrared technology detects fires as well as hot materials before a fire develops. The system distinguishes real fire risks from apparent ones and only triggers an alarm in the event of actual danger.
Depending on your processes and the requirements of your insurance company, you can select the IR camera with the desired certification: Either according to VdS or the European directive for fire alarm systems EN 54-10.
For the fastest possible extinguishing, we combine the infrared camera with our VdS-certified extinguishing system.
Early fire detection for small battery storage systems
The Fire Gas and Smoke Detection System FGSDS detects both smoke and a wide variety of fire gases long before the thermal runaway.
Freely adjustable threshold values allow the system to be adapted to the operator’s individual safety requirements.
The system is based on a special gas detector, combined with smoke detection and air intake. This means that only one detector is required to monitor the entire interior. This also simplifies installation and use: the system can simply be placed outside the warehouse.
Argon quenching with certified components
Argon extinguishing is the optimum solution if neither the machine nor the product is to be contaminated by the extinguishing process.
Argon inert gas has clear advantages over extinguishing with carbon dioxide.
Both our new GEC-1 control center and the components of our argon extinguishing systems are FM Approved – crucial for the insurance cover of your production.
This speaks in favor of argon as an extinguishing gas – in contrast to CO2:
- Clean erasure: no residues in the machine
- No danger to persons
- Quick resumption of production after deletion
- No clearance measurement necessary after deletion
- Suitability even at extremely high combustion temperatures
Extinguishing with an inert gas makes sense because gas spreads directly in all directions and therefore reaches every corner of the entire interior.
This type of extinguishing is therefore generally useful for machine protection, for example in CNC machines.
Argon extinguishing is particularly suitable wherever production should not be contaminated by extinguishing – for example in the food or animal feed industry.
Patented fire protection for belt dryers
There is an enormous risk of fire in belt dryers due to the high temperatures alone. This risk is exacerbated by the high dust load and the fire load due to the high material throughput.
In addition, sparks or embers from upstream or downstream processes can enter the belt dryer. Smouldering fires then spread rapidly in the deposits in the dryer.
Avoid production downtime or total loss – with certified fire protection from T&B.
Prevention and extinguishing are often too slow or are only selectively effective. Leading insurers now only provide adequate insurance cover if fire prevention is certified.
For this special application, T&B has developed a protection concept for belt dryers in collaboration with VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH. Thanks to the VdS certification of the protection concept, there is now a uniform standard that is accepted by every property insurer.
This innovative patented concept combines spark detection and spark extinguishing with a water spray extinguishing system. This enables both the best possible prevention and reliable extinguishing of an incipient fire in the dryer.
Ignition protection system for mobile dust extractors
This ready-to-connect ignition protection system from T&B is particularly suitable for small extraction systems such as mobile dust extractors.
The system automatically detects and extinguishes sparks in the extraction system before they can reach the filter and cause fires or explosions.
The new system complies with EN 16770 (Annex B), which requires an ignition protection system for fire prevention.
This smart spark extinguishing solution for dust extractors is compact – all in one housing with controls.
